CANADIAN INSURANCE MARKETING, CO-OPERATORS TEAM UP
Canadian Insurance Marketing Inc. and Co-operators Group are acquiring the business of Ingle Life & Health Assurance Company through a corporate partnership called Trent Health Insurance Services Corporation. Trent Health will manage Ingle's existing travel health and accident insurance business, while a Co-operators' subsidiary will underwrite the business first as a reinsurer then as insurer.
Former Pembridge Insurance Company president Douglas McIntyre is the chairman and CEO of Trent Health, while Mark Sylvia, Hartford Life's former president in Canada, will act as president and chief operating officer of the partnership. No terms of the deal, which is pending regulatory approval and is expected to close September 12, were disclosed
